On the basis of maintaining the advantages of the "one-on-one business negotiation" procedure of the previous four sessions, the fifth Conference in 2008 provided nearly 100 enterprise exhibition booths in order to show off their strengths according to the needs of market expansion and image display. All the freight forwarders and logistics companies, airlines, ports operators, shipping companies, industrial parks, industry associations, news media, consulting service companies and other related industries were welcomed attending the exhibition and seeking common development on their business opportunities. About 50 percent of participating freight forwarders came from China and the other 50 percent of participants were from all over the world. Mr. Zhao Huxiang, the former President of China International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFA), and Mr. Luo Kaifu, the Senior Advisor of CIFA, attended the conference and shared unforgettable time with all the delegates. The conference provided a platform for independent regional freight forwarders to meet qualified agents and lay a solid foundation for future potential business cooperation. The Conference also gave delegates advice on how to do business in China and how to find the most suitable partners.

The sixth Sino-International Freight Forwarders Conference, jointly organized by China Freight Forwarders Association and World Cargo Alliance (WCA), was successfully concluded at Asia World-Expo in Hong Kong from June 11 to 14, 2009 with the approval from the leaders of the Ministry of Commerce. Herewith, we would like to report the meeting as follows: The sixth Session was still mainly conducted with focus on "one-on-one" business negotiation between enterprises, and along which the freight forwarding logistics exhibition, cocktail party, celebration dinner, one-day tour of Hong Kong and other social activities were arranged. Delegates came from more than 100 countries and regions around the world, mainly including freight forwarding and logistics companies, airlines, ports operators, shipping companies, logistics parks, industry associations, industry software, consulting services companies and other industry-related enterprises. Under the impact of the global financial crisis and influenza A (H1N1), the number of participants dropped significantly compared with the fifth session, but in this year's special circumstances, the number of participants were seen as a relatively successful event in the industry. Statistics of attendees show that there were total of 801 participants (including guests, media reporters and spouses of delegates) from 100 countries and regions.

For the first time, Air Cargo News had been introduced as the co-organizer of the Conference which combined the session of the global Cargo transport exhibition with the session of business negotiation as one , the participants were more professional and on higher-level. The delegates including : airlines, consignors and consignees, carriers, ports operators, airport authorities, seaport authorities, industry associations, freight networks operators, software suppliers, related industries (loading and unloading equipment, container transportation, road and rail transportation), airport loading and unloading equipment, charter brokers etc. It was an excellent opportunity for freight forwarding logistics enterprises to expand their business. According to the current industry survey, this was the only professional event that gathered all aspects of the supply chain with 1,500 delegates attended. We believed that freight forwarding logistics enterprises would not miss the opportunity. At present, this Conference was the only one with global coverage and business expansion conference in the industry. The schedule of the conference was three days, mainly focusing on social networking and one-on-one business negotiation. The 8th Sino-International Freight Forwarders Conference, co-organized by China International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFA) and World Cargo Alliance (WCA), opened in Shanghai Pudong Exhibition Hall. on September 27th, 2011. This conference was the first time being held in Shanghai after the previous three consecutive sessions being held in Hong Kong, giving the participants a fresh feeling and new experiences . The Conference attracted more than 1,600 delegates of the freight logistics industry coming from 75 countries and regions. At the opening ceremony, Mr. Zhao Huxiang, President of China International Freight Forwarding Association, Mr. David Yokeum, President of WCA, delivered warm speeches. Mr. Lu Jijian, Deputy Inspector of Trade in Service Trade and commercial Service Department of Ministry of Commerce, Mr. Sun Jiarong, Director of International Service Trade Department of Shanghai Commission of Commerce and other guests attended and delivered speeches. Ms. Rosa Puig, the representative of Barcelona Port being the main sponsor, introduced the situation of Barcelona Port, and Mr. Wang Cheng, the general manager of Shanghai Branch of Zhongcheng International Transportation Co., Ltd., made a speech as representative for all the participating enterprises. The 11th Sino-International Freight Forwarders Conference being held by China International Freight Forwarders Association（CIFA）& World Cargo Alliance (WCA) was the only global freight forwarders and logistics enterprises meeting being held only within territory of China on annual basis and with Chinese and foreign co-brand names. According to statistics, since the first Session in 2004, the Conference had been attended by accumulated more than 12500 delegates from more than 200 countries or regions around the world. During the past 11 years, the Conferences had been focused on two main points: One was to adhere to the market-oriented, individual-based, Demand as the link, cooperation as the mode, development as the goal for the meeting organizing mechanism with aim to meet the demands of participants; another was that no matter what the ups and downs of the world economy were , the participants have always been full of confidence and sought for bigger markets, more opportunities and new partners with the help of the platform of the Conference. After knew about China's "One Belt and One Road" policy, foreign enterprises were very optimistic about Fujian province due to that it is based at the forefront of the "Maritime Silk Road". Following the participation of enterprises in the conference, they felt gaining much on good policy dividends and found many valuable business opportunities. Although this was the first time for Fujian’s Freight Forwarders Association organizing a delegation to attend the conference, the enterprises still felt that it was “ not quite enough” due to they have more desires to be achieved and therefore would be ready to continue to participate in the conference and other events to be held by China International Freight Forwarders Association in the near future. It was not the first time for the freight forwarder enterprises from Zhejiang Province participating in the Conference. Mr. Xu Linjun, President of Zhejiang International Freight Forwarders Association, who led a delegation with more than 10 freight forwarders and logistics enterprises from Zhejiang province attending the conference, gave a very positive evaluation on the well-organized the conference and all the results achieved In the return visit. He said that the one-on-one format of the meetings were very practical, and the meeting process was arranged in a scientific way, so that enterprises could really expand their business in the market and seek new customers according to their needs. All the trade terms and cooperation details could got confirmed and finalized on the site, which saved valuable time and created business opportunities for the participating enterprises. Thanks to CIFA’s invitation, the freight forwarders and the industry-related enterprises from home and abroad attended the Conference. There were over 1000 registered delegates from more than 100 countries and regions attended the Conference including about 500 delegates from overseas. At the opening ceremony, Mr. Zhao Huxiang, President of China International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFA), delivered a speech with theme of "Open for win-win and be innovative on cooperation". He said the 19th CPC Congress, which concluded last month, drew a blueprint for the "Chinese Dream" of building China into a modern powerful nation in the new era and put forward a series of policy programs for China to build a modern economy in the future. China would firmly adhere to its basic state policy of opening up, follow the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, make solid progress in construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, and strive to build a community with a shared future for mankind. He pointed out that in recent years, thanks to the optimization of foreign trade and business environment of enterprises, China's freight forwarding and logistics industry has been developing rapidly, but the rapid development of e-commerce market and the high integration of logistics and e-commerce have not only impacted the industry, but also endowed the industry with new opportunities for transformation. To this end, he put forward three suggestions to freight forwarding and logistics enterprises: firstly, to adapt to the requirements of industry reform in the Internet era, and realize the development from quantitative expansion to quality and innovation; Secondly, to strengthen cross-border integration, realize the combination of online and offline, and vigorously develop intelligent, effective, flexible and environmentally friendly and smart logistics; Thirdly, to accelerate industry integration, reallocate core resources and improve service efficiency.
